Just checking in - been 20 years! I am 50 and retired now... Thinking about coming back into re-enacting ;) It is wonderful to see the Forces still strong and alive. I was checking the website for familiar names and sites. Doc Shaffer? Marshall Meadors? Fort Loudoun, TN? It is nice to see Manskers Station on your page. David Wright really worked hard years ago to make that site a place for the Forces to attend. I was hoping the Newsletter and Journal was still a priority and was wondering about past issues. Nice job on the website! Your Most Humble & Obedient Servant, Barbara

I have been to a couple EPRs and have a complete set of clothing equipment, minus the muzzleloader. I am currently saving for one and would like to become more active in the hobby. Great site!

Hi there,
I didn't want to take the liberty of just posting this, but I thought I would make you aware of it so that you could decide if you would like to share the information with your group. The National Registry of Living Historians (non profit) is now on-line at www.livinghistorians.org. It is a wonderful place for reenactors, living historians, sutlers, educators, history buffs, etc. Individuals and/or groups can join (everything in the Registry is free), and immediately begin enjoying the benefits! The Registry enables groups to recruit, speakers to find places to give presentations and to be found, Educators to find speakers, Reenactors to find each other or groups in their area, Sutlers to advertise, Historians and Film Production Co.s to find Reenactors, etc. Plus there are other things like an affiliate program, free banner exchange and more. Merchants, traders, trekkers and all involved in history are welcome. You may list yourself and/or your website worldwide, and everything there is free!
Just thought I would share the information with you and let you decide if you would like to share it with others.
Thanks and take care,
Bob Horner
Founder
P.S. Our honored members are dedicated to the growth and longevity of the Registry. Groups, as well as each individual in the group is welcome to join. Please share/forward this information with any friend you feel may benefit from it, and good luck on your Living History adventures.

bonjour,
Good bye!

Hello,
I was very pleased to discover your web site and organisation. I don't participate in the world of re-enacting, but I am nevertheless very interested in Montcalm: I live just 300 feet below where his headquarters were in 1759-60, when preparing for the big battle. Although the "Montcalm Villa" in Beauport has been destructed in the late 70s, there are archeological remains on the site. We (a group of local citizens) are trying to have this site registered as a historic site before it gets completely disturbed and buried under a large road. If you are interested in supporting us, you can contact me and we will send you information regarding what we are trying to do.
Best of luck in your educating mission and may your organisation enjoy a long life.
Best regards,
Patrick Albert

Great site! I particularly enjoy re-living the 18th century on occasions at Fort Toulouse since I am a direct descendant of one of the soldiers who served there in the early to mid 1700's. I also have participated in events at Fort Des Chartres and Fort Massiac which were very enjoyable. I am so happy that there are other folks like myself striving to keep the memories of that pivotal period of history alive.
